McVeigh's Reasons is Tossed Out By Supreme Court

KFDX NewsCenter/March 22, 2004

The incident that allegedly spurred Oklahoma City bomber Timothy Mcveigh into action, is tossed out by the Supreme Court.

The nine justices refused to hear an appeal, questioning the conduct of a judge involved in lawsuits over the Branch Davidian seige outside Waco.

The appeal had come from survivors and families of children killed in the fire at the central Texas compound in April, 1993.

The judge had refused to recuse himself from the civil cases, despite accusations by members of the sect that he was biased.

The judge dismissed most of the claims, and a jury found the F.B.I and government were not negligent.
