Reportedly the fight between a white supremacist group called "Volksfront" and anti-fascist groups the Rose City Antifascists (RCA) and Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice (SHARP) heated up this summer in Portland, Oregon.

During July members of the RCA demonstrated against Jeffery Thomas in Portland. Hand outs at the demonstration identified Thomas as a Volksfront member and also included his home address with a photo of the racist wearing a swastika t-shirt.

An RCA member said such public outings of white supremacists help in the general effort to "sand up to them."

Volksfront reportedly issued a statement acknowledging "Jeffery Thomas is 'affiliated' with the general white supremacy movement."

RCA and SHARP members refuse to identify themselves publicly and frequently wear bandannas to obscure their faces for security reasons.

This year a SHARP member was shot in downtown Portland and could be paralyzed for life.

A Vancouver, Oregon reporter complained that the ongoing fight against racists in Portland has caused hate group members to move into the Vancouver area.

Volksfront is reportedly growing in Vancouver.
