Sara Jane Olson, the former Symbionese Liberation Army member, was sent back to prison after the California Department of Corrections said it made a mistake calculating her sentence, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Olson, 61, who was paroled last week, was planning to fly home to Minnesota from Los Angeles International Airport when she was informed she no longer had the right to leave the state, the Chronicle reported, citing corrections officials.

A warrant for her arrest was issued yesterday and she was taken into custody. She'll spend an additional year at Central Women's Facility in Chowchilla, California, the newspaper reported.

Olson served six years in prison for two 1975 crimes carried out by the SLA, the self-styled revolutionary group that also kidnapped newspaper heiress Patty Hearst, the Chronicle said. Olson was a fugitive for 24 years before her 1999 arrest. She pleaded guilty to attempting to bomb police cars and to a murder charge in the death of bank customer Myrna Opsahl, 42, during a robbery near Sacramento, the newspaper said.
