Adi Da Visitor Comments

"I have been reading your articles on Franklin. I was one of his first devotees on Melrose Ave. in Hollywood at the Ashram, Dawn Horse Communion. I was married at the time and my husband was the one who wanted to be a part of this “cult”. Franklin told us what to eat, how much money we needed to give to him etc. I watched him tell people who to marry. We even attended a few weddings. Franklin encouraged us to open an Ashram in Santa Barbara. We gave up our pets, sold one of our cars so we could abide by his wishes. When we got there we both found good jobs and had a nice apt. The problem is that Scientology was big there and Franklin was threatened personally by them. We were told to move back (only about a month after we left). Keep in mind that we were also told we should not communicate with our families the entire time we were with Franklin. We chose to stay and I can tell you that we went through what were like drug withdrawals. We went into a deep depression. When we told Franklin that we were not coming back he was upset. To make a long story short we got through it and divorced a couple of years later. I have been married for 30 years to a wonderful man and have two grown children. I thank God that I was able to get out when I did. Franklin Jones is nothing but a very clever evil man."
