Terry Nichols reportedly accuses third man in Oklahoma City bombing

Associated Press/May 4, 2005

Los Angeles -- Convicted Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols reportedly says there was a third man involved in the attack.

Nichols is serving two life sentences for helping Timothy McVeigh carry out the 1995 bombing that killed 168 people.

The Los Angeles Times reports that he says a man who was never charged in the attack provided some of the explosives.

It says Nichols claims in a letter that Roger Moore gave the explosives to McVeigh and also provided additional bomb components recently found in Nichols' former Kansas home.

Nichols says he's naming Moore because he "felt the record should be set straight."

Authorities investigated Moore after the attack but never charged him.
