Charges Dropped Against ROC Pastor Accused Of Making Threats

Richmond, Virginia - Charges have been dropped against a former pastor at the Richmond Outreach Center, accused of making threats against an 8News source.

Jason Helmlinger, the former executive pastor at The ROC, faced a misdemeanor charge of threatening a former ROC pastor who spoke to 8News about allegations of misconduct by the church's head pastor.

The charges against Helmlinger were dropped in a Richmond court Friday.

ROC Founding Pastor Geronimo Aguilar, known as "Pastor G," resigned from the church, along with Helminger and two others, earlier this month.

Aguilar is facing multiple child sex abuse charges in Texas, where, if convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
