Portland, Oregon -- Three people were arrested in Northeast Portland Friday morning for their alleged involvement with a white supremacist drug and gun ring.

Members of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant around 4:30 Friday morning in the area of Northeast 83rd and East Burnside as part of an operation dubbed “White Christmas.”

Both methamphetamine and a marijuana grow operation were found at the property, according to Lt. Steve Alexander, a MCSO spokesman. Five firearms were also reportedly recovered.

Seven people were taken into custody for questioning, three of which were arrested some time before 7:45 a.m. The remaining four are still detained, Alexander said.

Alexander confirmed the investigation centered on drug and firearms dealing related to the Brood and Gypsy Joker gangs.

Officers with the Portland Police Bureau Street Crimes Unit assisted with the investigation. Members of the PPB Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) assisted with Friday’s early morning search warrant.

Operation White Christmas was revealed in December 2013, and resulted in roughly 40 federal indictments. The mission targeted suspected white supremacist gang members accused of drug and firearms trafficking in Multnomah County.
