Abilene, Texas - Yisrayl Hawkins says he's alive and well - despite one Abilene media report to the contrary.
Hawkins released a letter to the media after one local television station in the Abilene market reported rumors of his demise Monday evening.
E-mails suggested that Hawkins had died were circulated Monday morning, but KTXS News opted to await official word rather than report the rumors.
In the opening sentence of his letter, Hawkins wrote:
"I am glad the rumors are false, coming from the enemies of Yahweh, but, no, I am not dead."
