Lisa Marie Presley has sold her California home after deciding to move to the UK.

The daughter of legendary singer Elvis sold the ranch-style house in gated Hidden Hills in Los Angeles for $5 million.

The compound has a five-bedroom, five and a half-bathroom main house set on more than three acres.

The master bedroom suite has the catwalk to an office and customized closet.

The property also includes a single-bedroom guesthouse, an annex/studio with a sound booth and a second-story guest unit and a three-stall barn with bedroom and half bath.

The property has a total of eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms and about 8,000 square feet of living space.

Singer-songwriter Presley, 42, who is also the ex-wife of Michael Jackson, is reported to be working on her third album in London.

The singer flew into Heathrow in August with her fourth husband Michael Lockwood, 42, and their eighteen-month-old twin girls Harper and Finley.

The couple are understood to have purchased an £8million mansion near Tunbridge Wells, Kent, which is heavily guarded with staff patrolling on quad bikes.

The house is right near the former home of Scientology founder L Ron Hubbard in East Grinstead, West Sussex.

Presley is a renowned follower of Scientology, which she says helped her overcome her drug habit.

Her new home, set on 90 acres, boasts 11 bedrooms, an indoor pool and sauna and a cinema.

It is understood constant gossip surrounding her ex-husband Michael Jackson helped form Presley's decision to flee America.

She also said recently that LA had 'gotten dramatically worse in the last five or six years, even more shallow if that’s even possible.'

Of her love for Britain, she explained: 'We have found the quality of life so much more enriching and fulfilling.

'The civility, the culture, the people and its beauty have reawakened me and have smoothed out some of my bleak and jagged views about people and life.’

She added: 'I can honestly say that I am the only person who came to England for the weather.
