Cebu City — A cult leader of a religious group in Asturias town, Cebu was arrested on accusation that he raped two of his members.

Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation-Central Visayas (NBI 7), said two counts of rape have been filed against Tedorico Feriol, who is known as Brod Doring, Tatay and Master in the organization.

In a press briefing Wednesday, Dec. 1, Agapito Gierran of NBI 7 said two complainants showed up in their office to report the alleged abuse.

One of the alleged victims is a 17-year-old girl, who served as a servant of Feriol.

The other victim is aged 32, said Gierran.

According to the 17-year-old victim, she was brought by her mother to the suspect to have her lingering illness treated.

The suspect allegedly advised the parents to let their daughter stay with him in his house for her complete recovery.

The alleged abuse took place while the victim lived in the suspect’s house, Gierran said.

Gierran said that they found out in their follow-up investigation that the suspect has victimized other women aside from the two who showed up in their office.

Gierran said the suspect pretended as a faith healer to lure and eventually molest women who turned to him for treatment.
